A spreadsheet of current volunteers is definitely not sufficient.
What happens if the accreditation is revoked?
Parents, volunteers, and all non-teaching staff have contact with students. Even the gardener on fulltime payroll (or volunteering, or through a third party) can have contact with students.
Schools must take steps to prevent abuse by embedding child safety in everyday thinking and practice. In Victoria the onus of proof is now on the governance committee and executive to prove there was solid process in place where abuse has proven to occur.
